About us


Swedish-Karelian Business and Information Center works in Petrozavodsk since 1995. Having started as a SIDA-supported project, SKBIC from 1999 operates in the framework of Agreement on cooperation between the Republic of Karelia, Russia and Västerbotten county, Sweden.

Our main directions of activity are:

1. Realization of provisions of Protocol on cooperation between Republic of Karelia and Västerbotten county, active participation in Barents region and Baltic Sea region projects and programs.

2. Assistance in developing economic ties between the regions.

3. Promotion of contacts between various organizations in Karelia and in Sweden.

SKBIC team

Tatiana Klekacheva, director.
Graduated Minsk State Institute for Foreign Languages as an English and German language teacher, Mrs.T. Klekacheva started her carreer at the Radio production plant in Petrozavodsk, then worked in the Ministry of Foreign relations of the Republic of Karelia. Starting 1999 Tatiana Klekacheva became the leader of the newly established Swedish-Karelian Business and Information Center, where she works until present time.
Mrs. Klekacheva speaks Russian, English and German languages.



Tatiana Makarova, director assistant.
Graduated Petrozavodsk State University as a specialist in international relations and an interpreter from English. Studing at the University, Tatiana Makarova had a practice in SKBIC in 2004. Being a student, she won a scolarship of Västerbotten's Governor and had a three-week practice in County Administrative Board of Västerbotten. In 2005 joined SKBIC as a director assistant. In 2010 Tatiana was on maternity leave for one year.
Mrs.Makarova speaks Russian, English and Swedish languages.





     
Vera Meshko, assistant.
Graduated Petrozavodsk State University as a specialist in the history of Northern Europe. Worked in a number of EU-supported projects, starting 2003 employed by Petrozavodsk City Administration, External relations department. Since 2010 works in SKBIC as a director assistant.
Ms. Meshko speaks Russian, English and Finnish languages.


 

              
           
 Liudmila Bezdelnikova, accountant
Graduated Leningrad Trade and Economic Institute. Worked as economist and accountant in Trade Committee of the Republic of Karelia, further - Ministry of Economic Development of Karelia. Joined SKBIC in 2006.
